OK Ladies, let’s get on the ball. Football season has officially started. This long-awaited season–filled with males bonding, ten-toes-up in their recliners, remote control in one hand and a beer in the other–is here. While this is great for a lot of guys, it often leaves us girlfriends feeling like football-season widows. 

Football season runs from Sept. 4th thru Dec. 28th, so why not plan a weekly event?  Here are some ideas to get you started…

Start a book club- Choose from Amazon’s best sellers list or check out Oprah’s list of favorites, sure to      spark some interesting non-football conversation.  And I bet your girlfriends will answer when you talk to them.  

Start a game night- With a night for everyone to choose a game, you’ll have some fun, inexpensive girls   nights out. “What’s a Dame To Do” is a fun new game just for women to try.

Start a shopping club – With the holidays just around the corner, start your Christmas shopping. Hanging out with your girlfriends and shopping–two of the best things in life. Plus you’ll be finishing a chore ahead of the game. Life is Great! 

Start your own fantasy football league-If you can’t beat’em, join’em,  isn’t that the saying? And wouldn’t   the men be impressed? Or, start a celebrity fantasy league–where you score points each time the celebrities on your team are mentioned in the tabloids. Fafarazzi is one to try.

So don’t fumble on this one: Go ahead and plan a night with the girls.  With the men on the sidelines, it is a perfect opportunity to squeeze in some girlfriend time.  Go team!
