Girlfriend Celebrations - Because Girlfriends Make Life Better

Our Readers Know How to Celebrate!

At GirlfriendCelebrations.com, we try to inspire you with every post–and girls, you have really return the favor! Our readers often share their own girlfriend celebration ideas and we are truly inspired by their commitment to female friendship. Here’s just one great girls’ night idea sent to us by our readers:

Recently, Desiree wrote to us:
“A couple years ago, my bestfriends started gathering at least once a year for a “Sista-Girlfriend Day in & Night Out.” We focus on Mind, Body, and Soul. Everyone is asked to bring something they’d like to share with the group…supporting an “Each one ~ Teach one” lifestyle. It’s a time to focus on and celebrate us (without our children and significant others). We talk, we cry, we party, we exchange tips. It’s the best bonding experience. This past year, we had two sista-girlfriend events, and ended it with watching The Secret, which left everyone feeling motivated and rejuvenated. The plan is to keep it growing and meet at least on an annual basis.”

We love Desiree’s idea of asking each girlfriend to bring something to share with the group. Adding a meaningful activity to your girlfriend gathering takes a bit of effort, but it strengthens your connection and helps the friendship last.

Desiree ended her note by encouraging all women to start a regular girlfriend get-together: “If you hadn’t started, please start planning your gathering. It doesn’t matter if it’s only 3 of you. It’s such a memorable experience that celebrates friendships.” We couldn’t agree more! Thank you Desiree, for sharing your story with us.
