Have You Tried Meetup? We Want to Hear From You
Need to make some new friends? Here’s a possible solution for you. We love the concept of the Meetup website: That real groups make a real difference. Meetup is the premier spot on the Internet for organizing real-life groups of people who share an interest–whether it be wine, politics, web design, whatever. A quick check of our zip code on Meetup revealed 90 nearby groups with the tag “women’s social.” That’s a lot of potential! So, we’re curious–has anyone here ever tried Meetup as a way of meeting new female friends? Share your experience with us by using the comment form below, or talk to us here. And, if making new friends is important to you, check out our Growing New Girlfriends article for some great advice.

I love Meetup.. I moved to a new city and had a hard time meeting new people. I also work out of my home.
So, I sat down and made a list of the things I enjoy doing and I was interested in learning about.. Then I did a search and Meetup was what I found.. I am actively involved in at least 5 groups.. I wouldn’t trade the friends I made and the experiences I have had… GO Meetup..
